..........those who prefer the adverts to the programmes. The progs are
nowadays dumbed down to such an extent that the adverts are now more
intellectually stimulating.
So, I for one, am now raising my hand.

No chance, I love repeats of repeats of the best of repeats. I thought you
were
going to mention the song by Whitney Houston for a minute!

You don't mean the pretentous bottle of smells adverts of course.

I am more interested in the reasons for editorial changes in adverts.
Who bets that they've cut back the mother's nod to kid where the
mother pretends to have a tantrum in the supermarket possibly because
it was seen as too agressive to kids. You now get only part of it.

Otherwise, M&S should let Noemie Lenoir have her own spot.

The ads are also aimed at the intellectually challenged, with cartoons,
cute animals, dancing, and infantile ditties.

Saturday morning TV now takes up most of the week.

I'm wondering how Loreal get away with air-brushing models in their ads
for skin/face products.

I can understand it if their selling smells, or shampoo, but otherwise
it's at best mis-leading, and at worst blatant deception.

It's absurd that they take supposedly "beautiful" women, and remove all
their features.

Of course, I may be off the mark, and their products really do make
women look like androids.

There's a trail currently running on 5 USA for their action movies which
is rather better than most of them.
