By the way, I can't find the right Lyngsat page,

Is this because the Lyngsat tables for Astra 2D:
http://www.lyngsat.com/astra2d.html
have no details of the channels on the Sky transponders ?
(10744 H , 10862 H, 10876 V, 10921 H, and 10936 V)

Because they are encrypted but FTV ?

Here we are, I've found the right page:-

http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/skyuk.html

Take a look at 12402 V on Astra 2B, ITV Yorks East: Encrypted

Thanks, somehow I'd missed that the Sky transponder details were on a
separate page under 'top packages'.
How could that be ?

I'd tried the alternative list on SatCodex:
http://satcodx2.tele-satellite.com/0282/eng/
Which has all the details on one extreemly long page.

Password ? !

A Humax box? Password needed for any "tuning" changes. Default is 0000.

Dunno, my Freesat Humax PVR requires no password for ITV London, I just
punch in 977.

Yes, it's a Humax. Needs 0000 for London ITV. But why?

By the way, I can't find the right Lyngsat page, but I'm sure ITV 1
Yorks-East is one of the 6 ITV regions on Astra 2B and therefore FTV
encrypted. That's why Freesat boxes have to use Yorks West.

I had a quick look at the unencrypted channels and I didn't find ITV Yorks
E.
But the point is, why have Sky suddenly mapped my Sky Freesat box to Yorks E
when I live in the Sheffield postcode area?
Mind, you, in the early days of the DTT postcode checker it had us down for
a massive aerial and only a few muxes, all from Belmont, and with no
alternative. That's despite the fact that I can see Emley so clearly from
here that I can report that at this very moment a red-haired man in a donkey
jacket has snook round the back of the Tower for a slash and a fag.

Oh dear Bill, health failing is it?

Why on earth would anyone in God's own country want to watch local TV from
darn sarf?

To mock.

"Password" wonder if you meant PostCode. Eg Sky Card is working on
postcode you gave to obtain it, and Freesat is working on postcode you
input.

The Sky Freesat box has a card registered to my correct postcode.

Has someone activated parental control on that channel (assuming such a
feature exists)?

I call that a radical interpretation of the text.

It could be a cunning plan. Map all Sky cards to encrypted ITV
sub-regions wherever possible. When old cards expi hey presto!
non-subscribers get no ITV on epg103 as well as no C5 on epg105.

My FTV card was remapped from TTTV to Yorks. W. and I live on the east
coast.

I wonder if FTV cards (or any sub set of cards for that matter) can have
different mapping to Sky Subs cards ?
