There used to be DVDs of roaring fires or restful tropical fish tanks
although I'm not sure I could see the allure of cows, unless perhaps you want the illusion of living in the countryside perhaps? Paul DS. |

Didn't C4 or C5 use to show "Art of Landscape" in their early days? IIRC this was a very pleasant series of programmes about the natural world. -- (\__/) M. I have a whole VHS tape which I recorded from german satellite channel
when they used to show a log fire burning as a "testcard". At one point you see a hand throwing a new log on! Does anyone remember the excellent "Spacenight" which used to be shown on one of the German channels overnight with "chillout" music or the one which just showed a beach in real time with just the natural sound? |

Along similar lines, I am sure I saw a fake flame effect wall fire in B
+Q last year which had an LCD screen and presumably just a solid state or HDD recording of the fire. It was definitely being sold as a fire but I wonder if it had the ability to show TV! A bit of clever lateral thinking really. Might be interesting if they invent a 3D one. |
