I think the bright ambient lighting is not nefarious but just to help customers from tripping. |

The set up directions say that the first thing you should do is to reset it for the home, because it comes set for the store. Bill |

Keithhttp://www.eBuyHD.com They will misadjust the settings on sets that they want to look poor compared to a model they are pushing, & you should also try to look at the input wiring & signal source; sometimes you're comparing coax to HDMI. |
