Default why reception change

Cannot understand why at lets say 10 pm
I have great recepton at most of my channels and I turn the tv off.
Nothing is touched and a 5 pm turn on the set and many of the channel
that came in at 10 now show "weak" or "no signal".

(I live 13 miles east of manhattam)

I don't know the story in NY, but here near San Francisco they turn the
power down by day to protect workers on the transmitting tower.

Hi,

So far they have not done this except to check out the antennas low down
which cannot handle all the power to the antennas that have been in use
for many years.

They need to use the lower down antennas as you said to protect the workers
while the old analog antennas at the top are replaced by new ones. One
station, KGO Ch 7, PSIP =7 is using it's new antenna at the top some of the
time.

They have done a lot of work already without resorting to the auxiliary
antennas.

See this and following posts.

We here in the S.F. Bay area have a lot of problems due to mountains around
the edges and fog coming in though the Golden Gate.

As sorry-spammers wrote:

Is the largest problem as both the direct path and the multipath can be
affected.
