Why do we need plus 1 channels?

Well, on a few occasions I have looked at a guide and
found I'd missed the start of a programme, then
realised I could time-travel. It's not as if there's
a lot of good content waiting for space for a first
showing.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the

-1 channels so everything starts an hour earlier than on the main channel..

That'd be a bloody good idea, given RTE's inability to start any
programme on time.

it is handy if you miss your program and you can then watch it an hour
later, not all of us have sky plus boxes or v plus boxes where we can
record a program. saves waiting on the repeat being shown when it
happens

Remember! With digital tv channels it's about quantity not quality.
