It failed because of Republicans.

No, it failed because of the Demopublican Repubicrats. *They've
controlled Congress and the Presidency for at least 100 years. *You
can't say that about any other party, especially not Republicans
(a.k.a. The Right Horn of Satan) and Democrats (a.k.a. The Left
Horn of Satan) separately.

LOL..the Republicans screwed it up.

The Democrats as usual are fixing the mess.

TMT

Yeah, you just keep telling yourself that. Delusions like that help
you get through the day, I'm sure.

TJ

Just compare the way things were when Clinton left office and the way
things were when Bush left office and the lesson should be clear.

While you're at it, don't forget to compare how things were when
Carter left office and when Johnson left office.

When are you guys gonna figure out that the party isn't what makes the
difference?

TJ

When they grow up.

And sadly, some people never grow up. *Worst yet they pass on their
hates and prejudices to their kids. *I know a "TMT like" person who
tells his kids that he doesn't care what they become when they grow up
"as long as it isn't a republican".

To me, it is VERY sad that some people (more than a lot of us think)
STILL judge people by their color, religious beliefs, party affiliation
and many other silly things. *

Tell you what...why don't you pay the TRILLION dollar deficit and then
I will vote Republican.

Those who don't see that America just got screwed over by the
Republicans have a problem.

Hold on to your ass this morning. Obammy's mammys have fired GM. Your
Retirement Fund is in the crapper.

Tell me again why the taxpayers are responsible for buying you a TV
converter?
TV is not a right, nor even a necessity. It is a luxury.

More US households (98.9%) have TV than have indoor toilets, so it's pretty
obvious that even poor people can find the money for TV.

Because the Government is making BILLIONS off the PUBLIC airwaves.

Good for them. Good for you. Good for me. Nirvana.

And causing the obsolescence of millions of perfectly good
televisions.

If that's true, the government should have a converter coupon program
for everyone who wants to keep using their old TV.

If tomorrow the Government suddenly did something that made your car
obsolete and unable to run, would you want them to cover the cost of a
replacement?

TMT

I'd likely send them a thank you note for reducing the number of cagers
I have to dodge.

Actually, many of your fellow Democrats want to do exactly that!

A lot of us are not willing to "work together" with people whose goal
is government control control and oversight over virtually all aspects
of our lives, no matter which party they happen to belong to.

But a lot more of us know if Bush hadn't totally left the country in the crapper, then
there would have been no need to hand it over to the democrats. So if the current
administration is screwing up so badly, think for a moment how bad it must have gotten for
the people of this country to switch to something this bad and then thank Bush for mucking
it up for you.

You do realize that it's not the government's money, it's the taxpayers'
money.

Huh. The government hasn't caused any of my televisions to become
obsolete and unable to run. They run just fine. Just as good as they did
a year ago. Two years ago. In fact, all of my televisions work BETTER
than they did two years ago, with the same indoor antennas I used
before. No more snow. No more ghosts. No more changing the antenna
position for each station. No more trying in vain when the wind blows to
get any kind of watchable picture on the FOX and MyNetwork stations. No
more wishing I could watch the one CW program I like, because now I can
watch it, perfectly.

Thank you, US Government. Had you not mandated the change to digital, it
would have taken me a lot longer to see the light. I would have spent
years thinking my analog stuff was working "just fine."

Nope. They did that to me once already. A while back all the lead was
removed from gasoline. We had one old engine that wouldn't run right on
unleaded fuel, so we bought some "lead substitute" that was sold for
that purpose. It came in pint containers, and you mixed one of them with
a tank of gasoline. We used it for a while, but eventually it just
wasn't worth it any more, and we got rid of that vehicle. Replaced it
with a better one - no government money involved. None wanted.

You just have a bad attitude.
Try thinking like a helpless child victim, that's what you're supposed to
do.
