No, though that may change, as DTV and TIVO announced a new partnership
last year with a somewhat vague promise for a TIVO-DVR for DTV in 2H09..

Are there any rumors on how this is going? *My calander says 2H09 is
in 3 months, but DTVs calander may say 9 months!

And what if they delay it further, any penalty for them?

Well yah, they won't have me as a customer (I'm waiting to switch).
If I'm the only one, no problem, if there are 100K consumers like me,
they might care.

DTV's equipment is worse. Saturday night DirecTv broadcast via
Satellite telling the DVRs to reset their clock to July 14, 2009. And
instantly millions of DVRs stopped working cause they had an empty
program Guide.

OTOH, I had no trouble at all with my two HR21-700s.

It must have been specific to one sat because it also affected me. My
system is two HR-20's and one HR-21, and all three had exactly the
same problem. I immediately phoned tech support and as usual, they
denied any problem, blaming it on "my" end.... "perhaps a power
glitch". Of course, since all three are on UPS units, I knew that
couldn't have been the problem.

I actually like DirecTV.... their "up" time and support are a huge
improvement over the cable service we had before going to DirecTV, but
their response to problems is awful, usually a complete denial of any
problem existing.

captives get better and better.

My Myth setup is just about ready for primetime (just got the
HDHomerun and OTA antenna situation figured out). Pretty soon I'm
going to dump DirecTV and that $60/mo bill for free OTA.

have you tried something cool? don't need my tivo with this......

First two paragraphs......

So where can you watch television shows online? There are a ton of web sites
showing clips of television shows and showing made for Internet shows. But
in this list I wanted to only list web sites that had full-length episodes
of television shows. Most of these web sites offer VoD (Video On Demand),
that means you can start any movie or TV show any time you like and pause
the video.

Also most of the web sites listed here don't make you pay for the videos.
They are free. So check out this list of where to watch free tv online .
Enjoy.

I didn't call right away. I reset, the guide came back, but no "old"
series recorded. More recent ones did.

I called on the 25th, and was told the fix was to deauthorize my receiver
and reauthorize. I mentioned that I read that this was a wide spread
problem, and they said it was just California.

On the other hand, with respect to what junk DTV is, this is the first
problem of this sort that I recall having in 15 years. If the empty guide
healed itself, I might not have spotted it. The missed Season Pass
recordings wouldn't have been so obvious 15 years ago ;-)
