Is this group now a News Feed?

I find it interesting that the complaints are coming mostly from lurkers
who don't post *anything* here, be it "issue" answers or industry news.

What does "news feed" mean? I see no clarification of this in the other

If that's a joke, I certainly don't get it.

Maybe you are seeing a lot of auto-posted spam and call that "feed." I
just killfile those posters so I don't see the spam.

Same here! I find the info he posts interesting, and sometimes useful.
Falls into my definition of topical information in an "alt" *news*
group, which I read to learn, and try to keep up.

No, it's now a News Feed IN ADDITION TO a 'help with HDTV tech issues'
group. Of course the hype to help ratio is a lot higher now, but the
hype is on topic.

As to why certain posters feel compelled fill the group with verbatim
press releases (marketing), ask them. One of them at least reads the
group.

Yes, you are right this is a ALT group...sorry, off my soap box. Its not
that I don't like UCLAN's and others information post...Ok I will go
back to lurking...
