Default Questions about new channels on Freeview

Is Dave ja vu (which used to be Dave +1) an awkward play on déjà vu?

I know that YeSTERDAY was UKTV History, but why the lower case 'e'?

And for how much longer will QUEST (ie Discovery) be coming soon?

You mean déja vu. And yes, it is.

Quite a clever one i thought, déja vu meaning, quite literally,
already seen, so if you saw Top Gear on BBC2, or then on BBC3, or then
on Dave, you could quite reasonably have déja vu when you watch it on
Dave ja vu.

No , on the actual station advertising screen. YeSTERDAY. Classic design
studio ****s and their big ideas.

14th May - so we'll get all those brilliant aeroplane documentaries etc?

I see Film 4 is starting earlier at 11am - why? they haven't the films
to show all day now.

Seems to be. What makes these idiots think what someone is going to be more
likely to watch it if it's called Dave jag vu. It's already bad enough that
channel its parent channel is called Dave.

I know that YeSTERDAY was UKTV History, but why the lower case 'e'?

It's written Yesterday on my Sony STB. Stupid name for a stupid channel
which has totally degenerated from when it used to show history
documentaries.

Another stupid name.

What don't the just call them, "Top Gear and old BBC Comedy Repeats loop",
"Top Gear and old BBC Comedy Repeats loop +1", "Old ITV Historical Drama
Repeats loop" and "Old Quiz Show repeats loop"

It's so they can show back to back Sharpe and be within the station
parameters!

They nicked it from a story by Alan Davies on QI

I wonder whether they'll continue to show *natural* history programmes as
they (usually) aren't about 'yesterday' and their station name no longer has
'history' in it.

I expect they will, and all the period dramas like Poldark which don't
(AFAICR) feature historical events or characters.

And for how much longer will QUEST (ie Discovery) be coming soon?

It gives the start date on the screen, 14 May.

Except that the station name doesn't convey that it is Dave programmes plus
one hour.

And "Five US" could be "The CSI Channel".
