Default HD TV , 39 Steps

Hi
Had Freesat HD for just over a month, a bit disapionted really in quaulity.
Watch BBC HD last night and a film 39 Steps.
Really I could not tell any difference to the average normal BBC. In fact
might say films better on Normal TV than this.
Was something wrong last night?

We thought we would be glued to spectacular pictures each evening on BBC HD
but we are just using it like another channel, might go several days or a
week with not having it on.

Have you got a TV with inbuilt Freesat or are you using a separate set
top box?

If the latter, how have you got your HD box connected to your TV, HDMI
or SCART?

I watched that film on BBC HD over Christmas. As with much of BBC HD's output
it had the softening up process that many UK TV drama programmes (HD and SD)
are inexplicably applied with.

Ah!. The film look, much desired by BBC directors who believe if they
make something soft or jittery (or both) it gives them the aura of a
proper movie director. I've rarely seen a real movie which naturally has
these artefact's (possibly Laurel & Hardy does).

Indeed. Mostly so little if any difference hardly worth bothering with.
Some sport and things like the Antiques road show do look rather sharper,
though.

'Probably'
What sort of statement is that, and you make question of my English. (
Please note capital E).

Please make up your mind if a God or no God, and get off the fence you are
sat on.
