Default Non-HDCP Blu-Ray player?

I have an older 50-inch plasma with component inputs. All the Blu-Ray players
I've looked at are HDCP compliant which means that if a HDCP compliant disc
is played on it it will display less than full resolution.

Are there any Blu-Ray players that will output full resolution on component
outputs or converters that will convert HDMI to component video at full
resolution with HDCP input?

Thanks.

That is to say, if a HDCP compliant disc is played on it it will display less
than full resolution *on the component output* (if equipped with this
output).

Nonsense. HDMI or component offer full resolution to a display device.
HDCP is only a problem for those that want to feed an HDCP-protected
source to a recording device.

And aren't all video discs to be HDCP (at least major studios' products) in
future?

I think most already are. The way I understand it, a DVD player sending
an HDCP-compliant program to the TV via HDMI, HDCP doesn't get grumpy
because the HDCP profile in the TV says "I'm a display only device".
Sending that same program to another recorder via HDMI, the recorder's
HDCP profile says "I'm a recording device", HDCP gets grumpy. This
isn't supposed to be a problem with component because component is
analog, hence HDCP isn't enforced with analog. I'm not a video expert
even in a stretch, but this is simply my understanding of it. Perhaps
someone will jump in here and say I'm nuts, which could likely be true.

There may well be, but hacking HDCP just isn't on my radar.

If you'll re-read my original post:
I have an older 50-inch plasma with component inputs. ...

It has *no* HDMI inputs, and no HDCP profile.

The DVD (Blu-Ray) DVD player -- when playing HDCP media -- is supposed to
shut off its component outputs and output only digital video on the HDMI
connector.

Hence my question (again):

Are there any Blu-Ray players that will output full resolution on component
outputs or converters that will convert HDMI to component video at full
resolution with HDCP [media]?

Without using a HDMI connection with HDCP, using Component, you'll get 1080i
from the Blu-Ray player. Which really isn't a big deal, as a 1080P Display
will De-Interlace the picture back to 1080P anyway. Since Blu-Ray is
showing 24 frames per second, that's slower then the 30 frames for 1080i or
60 for 1080P, so it's a non-issue. If you have a 720P display, again, it's
a Non-Issue. Don't worry about it.
