Default Digital Confusion

I was watching something on Virgin One over DTT last night. I noticed
that a red button appeared in the top right hand corner. I found it
almost unbelievable that Virgin would have a text service! I pressed
the red button and got a fully functioning BBC Ceefax service, with
the Virgin programme being pushed into the box in the top left, as a
BBC broadcast would normally.

I tried it again later last night, but it was back to normal!

It would appear that the digital text service for the BBC got overlaid
on the Virgin One channel.

Strange.

John
