I want to transcode HDTV mpg files down to a lower resolution in
the mp4 format so they can be viewed over a WiFi connection. I'm happy with the rez of standard analog TV, so I guess that would be a starting point for the converted files. Can anybody approximate the rez of a regular analog screen in terms of pixels? e.g. 1280x1024, 512x480.... -- PeteCresswell |

Assuming your HDTV files are widescreen, aim for a height of 480 and let the width come out proportionally (probably 853). -- Hello Obama! http://tinyurl.com/HelloObama |
