I wish they would do that to the adverts on Eurosport!

Sudden volume increases during each unnatural break is
unacceptable.

It just seems quieter since they sacked Gaunty.

Cant figure talksport out anymore. They hire controversial presenters
then sack them when they're controversial.

At least james whale has reappeared on LBC however.

Where's Tommy Boyd these days? Without doubt the king of phone-ins. I
very often download some of his old shows to listen to in the car. The
man's nothing short of a genius. My favourite was when a called accused
him of being arrogant and he replied, serious and deadpan, that he had a
lot to be arrogant about - it was a lot funnier than I've attempted to
describe.

According to wikipedia he's on play radio uk - otherwise known as "I
can't get a job in proper radio" UK. Never listened to Boyd much apart
from the clash of the titans shows. Him and Dickin really didn't get
on apparently

Dickin was also a class act. Shame he's no longer with us. I think it's

Yeah , he was one of the best talk show hosts. The reasons for that
car crash never seem to have surfaced which is a bit odd. I often
wondered if he had a heart attack at the wheel since the guy sounded
pretty unwell on air a lot of the time and they just wanted to keep it
quiet.

often just a case of the owner not liking it when the host becomes
bigger than the station. Dickin's website has some great archive stuff.

Whats the address, I can't find it?

I doubt Dabsworth would appreciate it though as it's about as far
removed from Guardian politics as you can get.

I loved the way he used to chew up the lefties and spit them out.
Whale does it up to a point but he's not as good at it as Dickin was.

This is the one I have. It's not a Mike Dickin site, but it has plenty
of clips of his and Tommy Boyd's.
