Default DVB-T USB Stick - processing power required?

I'm tempted by Maplin's current offer of a TwinHan dual channel USB tuner
for £25 - but wonder whether my computer is up to it.
http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?...HQ&T=-11755906
The Maplin blurb doesn't specify the system requirements, and I can't find
this particular model on the manufacturer's website, but similar models from
other makes seem to specify a 2GHz processor. However, it has an HD
capability and may - perhaps - need less power when not being used for HD
signals?

I have an AMD Athlon 2600 processor which is a few years old, and which
appears - from the System properties - to be running at about 1.25 GHz.

Does anyone have any experience of using a similar tuner with a slightly
older processor and, if so, how well does it work? What would be the effect
of having insufficient processing power?

TIA.

It is there on the Twinhan site but it takes a bit of digging to find
it: http://www.twinhan.com/product_AD-TU700.asp

I don't pretend to understand how Twinhan identifies and numbers its
products or why this one never shows up in the product listing. I
only know that I bought this tuner based on its having Vista 64 bit
signed drivers but I have had to remove it as I could not get it to
work reliably in WMC.

Shouldn't be a problem at SD, can't speak for HD. The main processing
burden
is the MPEG decoding. It takes about 8-12% of processor time on my Athlon
2600
using the Cyberlink decoder though YMMV.

To reduce the jitter, make sure the TV application is running above normal
priority.

BTW, the base clock speed of my XP2600 is 1.92GHz (11.5 x 167). Are you
sure yours
is set up correctly?
