that 4TV Interactive broadcasts data between three and four in the
morning to "licensed receivers". Any idea who or what these would be?

Among other receviers it downloads EPG and firmware updates to my Thomson
DHD4000 PVR and others, like the earlier Fusions.

Any set that gets a 14 day EPG overnight instead of the freeview 7 day one
is likely to get it through this channel. Upside is it's 14 days long,
downside is any last minute changes cannot be accomodated as it's only
updated once a day.

Maybe they are secretly uploading code to turn all boxes into Sinclair
Spectrums?
