Default Best Buy advice please

£450 to spend on a TV 32" is fine I think, few TV progs, linked to
computer and Wii

Whats the best VFM deal out there at the moment ?

Do you, I got one of then 26" TVs from Lidls 3 years ago for £140,
Inside it has a Sony tube.

Mate has the same TV but with a BUSH badge on the front he paid £300 for it.

I think there more generic that a lot of ppl think. All made in China

I don't disagree that many manufacturers do share components, such as LCD
panels etc. Think I read somewhere that Samsung sell to Sony. But the
"tube" as you call it on older tv's and more recently the panels is not the
only component which dictates picture quality. How about the complex
electronics inside the tv, how good is the scaler in the tv? If it's crap,
the picture will be crap no matter who has made the panel. Number of HDMI
ports on the tv, can the tv handle 24p (required for bluray).

I am not saying the LG is no good at that price, but whatever in life you
buy, you DO get what you pay for.
