Default IPTV PVR

I have IPTV and use VLC media player to view the TV on a laptop which
is fine. I thgought the Win MCE might be up with the hunt and provide
PVR but Bill gates has not got around to that one. Anyone know a
software PVR that I can use??

GBPVR or Mediaportal for Windows, MythTV for Linux.

Are you using MCE to denote Media Center Edition or Extender? If Edition
then it certainly does have a PVR although it can on occasion be flaky.

Thanks. Edition - cannot find the TV signal from a tuner.

Make sure that the software that came with your card is not running and
grabbing the signal. I've seen this before where a card install ran a
background service which handled timed recordings meaning that although
the card was visible in MCE it couldn't tune it in.
