Default Problem with Sky mini-dish and SL65 (for freesat)

Hi all,

I have an unused Comag SL65 and a free Sky dish & lead.

When I connect one to the other the Comag box buzzes and doesn't
powerup. It powers on fine without the connection.

Does anyone know what the reason for this might be?

Thanks

Either the LNB or the cable is short circuit.
Check the F connectors at each end of the cable
Make sure there isn't a strand of the braid touching
the inner conductor.
Make sure someone hasn't driven a nail through the
cable somewhere.
Might me wise to use a multi-meter to check for the
short, you might damage the box.

Thanks Graham.

I've checked the connectors & they are fine. It is an old installation
so there could be a crack in the cable somewhere. A job for the
Christmas break.

Thanks again
