Agamemnoel wrote: "Stephen O'Connell" wrote in message ... Agamemnoel wrote: What a bloody scam! And? You sound upset. Did the people you voted for not make it through or something? From the day John Sergeant quit I thought the BBC would roll over the votes from the semi-final to the final, but I assumed they would tell the audience first, before they voted. I didn't vote since there was no chance of Tom & Camilla being saved from the dance off with the top two couples on 3 points each and Tom & Camilla on 1 point. The audience should have been told this before the lines were opened, but they were not and the vote should never have gone ahead. The rules were changed at the last moment to keep them all in. To be honest, I don't watch any of that reality TV ****, and viewers who waste their time texting or phoning in to those shows are, in my opinion, just idiots. What's that old saying, a fool and his money are easily parted? So true. That's the way I look at all those phone-in type of thing. A waste of time, and money. But each to their own and all that... If the BBC had any sense they'd have allowed everyone to vote for the contestants on Strictly and on every other interactive show on the Internet and then they wouldn't have to be forced to give people back their money. Ofcom should ban telephone voting once and for all. Right, like internet voting can't be fixed by clearing your cache, you dozy ****. If would be very difficult to fix the vote if the BBC recorded all the IP addresses and make sure there are no duplicates and force everyone who wants to vote to register and confirm their email address first and then confirm that they have voted by clicking a link in an email which is sent to them after they have voted. If people wanted to vote more than once it would be more difficult than pressing redial on the telephone, which they are still allowed to do under the current system. If people were repeatedly voting from the same IP address and/or email (and they still have to click on the email sent to them) then their votes would be all cancelled. IMBECILE! You're missing 3 very important points here. 1. It's only entertainment. 2. It's entertainment the BBC makes lots of money out of. Letting people vote for free would kind of defeat the object. 3. It's only watched by women and gay men. 3 is an inflammatory remark. -- Member - Liberal International This is Ici God, Queen and country! Beware Anti-Christ rising! See this guide for programme makers: http://www.bbc.co.uk/guidelines/edit...tivity/voting/ Summary Guide Before launching a vote you should always read this checklist in order to ensure compliance: .... Premium Rate Telephony is not used to make a profit except if it is to raise money for charitable purposes (see below). * The BBC will use Premium Rate Telephony where it is the most suitable way to handle large volumes of calls effectively. The lowest viable tariff must be used. * The only time, in exceptional cases, where we may use premium rate lines to raise money, is in order to raise funds for a BBC charitable initiative. 3. It's only watched by women and gay men. 3 is an inflammatory remark. And untrue. |

It's an open secret that such programmes are for fools to vote for. These voting shows are all fixed and if the public aren't sharp enough to realise it yet it's their problem. They deserve to be fooled. They make themselves look even bigger idiots by spending more money ringing up to complain! LOL! FFS don't they have real things to worry about? |
