Default Can I input video & audio into a Tivo, rather than Antenna/CableRF?

I'd like to use a TiVo to delay a video/audio feed. As I look at the
TiVo specs at the TiVo site, it seems that the units won't take video &
audio directly, but only as RF from cable or antenna. Is there any way
around this, or can someone suggest another DVR or PVR that would do it?

Thanks.

My *Series 1* standalone TiVo has a set of RCA inputs for composite
video input, selected with either Channel 0 or Channel 1, I forget.
Of course, a Series 1 won't do digital television.

It's also possible to turn composite video into RF with a cheap
modulator. You lose quality, though.

I have a series 2 and it takes those also, but my series 3 doesn't......
there are a LOT of dvr's out there that will do what you want
Search online, heres a link to lots of em (stopped looking at specs after 40
of em) panasonic, jvc, etc http://www.bizrate.com/dvr/

if you don't need program guide stuff (ie not currently on contract), or
digital tuners, check out ebay (got older ones for under $50)

Go to https://www3.tivo.com/store/boxdetai...oxsku=R6498 0
and click on Specifications. Note description for [H] and [i].

# Composite video and stereo input: Connects to your cable or
satellite box.
# S-Video input: Connects to your cable or satellite box for a better
quality picture.

It is possible to a manual recording of an arbitrary A/V feed via
those connections,
but telling the S2DT TiVo to do that is a bit messy. And expensive;
that TiVo box
can't be used at all without a subscription.

I've got a Series-1 TiVo that I'm looking to get rid of; it no longer
has a lifetime
subscription but can be set up to do manual recording. For 24-hour
video
surveillance, I can set it up with four manual recordings repeating
daily;
midnight to 6am, 6am to noon, noon to 6pm, 6pm to midnight.
