Some of these pics have aerials in them. Many don't. One pic poses a
question, to which answers are invited. Several pics might possibly spark a
discussion in this forum.

Sorry Bill, I've got no questions, no answers, and I don't want to discuss
any of those irrelevant photos.

Some great photos.

I used to work for BT for over 30 years and I've never seen that bizarre
arrangement of vertical open wires down the side of a building.

I *think* it was used in special circumstances to reduce cross talk on
Telex pairs - it was a long time ago I heard this and could easily be
wrong. Seems Telex was more prone to cross talk (quite robust otherwise)
than telephony, as the "distant end" was often overseas and had poor
line characteristics which meant better standards were required at "this
end" so as not to degrade the circuit further. Is this true, anyone
know?

Have used something like this for RF in/out of buildings (Rugby Radio
and the like).

Have they screwed little insulators into the side of the big ones, do you
suppose?

No, I rather think they were made like that specifically for the purpose of
a vertical run.
I've seen brackets & insulators orintated like that before, but usually
the open pair of wires themselves have long gone.
