Good thought PeeGee but we can still get Sky on this box; it's just the Sky+
functions not working which suggests that one of the tuners isn't working
although a signal test shows that both channels are receiving a good strong
signal.

Brian

As you have two boxes, I assumed you have multiroom and wondered if
there are different settings that allow the "second" box to receive and
decode the sky channels but disable the record function? It seems the
sort of configuration Sky might come up with :-(

Sky know I have two Sky+ boxes with Multiroom & I've been able to use the
Sky+ features in both rooms for over a year. But the point has been made
about subscriptions & although I'm paying £57 per month a call to Sky will
confirm whether they have changed the settings .

If your subscription has lapsed the Sky+ functions won't work - it will
just work as a standard digibox.
Regards Mike.

Thanks Mike. I've not changed my subscription which atm is £57 per month &
includes multi-room.

Sky knows that I have two Sky+ boxes and until a couple of weeks ago I could
use the full Sky+ features on both boxes.

regards Brian

Thanks AC. It seems I'm not the only one. I do have the Pace V2 box
9F21*** box referred to in the discussion. Unfortunately the fixes
mentioned haven't worked for me. However as Sky knows about the fault I'll
phone them & see what they say.

I've finally given up. after several attempts to phone Sky I finally got
through to a nice gentleman in Delhi who spent several minutes trying to
sell me a telephone & broadband package. When I told him that I'd rather
get the box sorted out for now, he transferred me to a very nice lady in
Glasgow who tried to sell me a maintenance plan, when I told her that atm
all I want is to get the problem sorted she came to the rapid conclusion
that I'd need an engineers visit at £65. I've gone down the cancellation
route to try & get the visit fee waived & then thought "to hell with it;
I'll switch to cable which is what I'm now doing"

Bye Bye

It seems to be able to do everything the Sky+ box does.
