Thanks Bill. I'm sure that's the best that can be done in a bad
location.

If it plays up in the summer the solution might be Belmont.

On the old aerial the Sheffield muxes had lovely flat tops
but of course it's on the limit of field strength and family didn't
want to wait a couple of years for the signal boost.
Interesting about the set tuning to Emley. On the old aerial the Emley
muxes were between 2 and 6 dB down on Sheffield. When I installed the
new set a few weeks ago I played with attenuators to drop Emley just
below threshold and the set autotuned correctly. Either the set later
took matters into its own hands or someone had a play.

When I came into the room having swapped the aerial they were happily
watching DTV! I bet the telly did it itself. Panasonic boxes used to be a
bugger for this, ignoring the auto-tune-off command.

Don't know about diesel but my husband has just filled up at Asda down
here at 94.9 p

Petrol's stayed at 94.9 here, but diesel has dropped another penny to 106.9.

We'll see what happens in the spring. Thanks again.

Funny how at one time diesel was always miles cheaper than petrol and of
course typical that I had to have my oil tank filled before the price
dropped right down again

If I had to put money on it I'd say it will be fine. Most likely.

snip top post

Diesel DERV now has to be low smoke and sulphur, which means
refining at a sophisticated hydrocracking refinery which costs 100M quid
and takes ten years to build.

Hence there is now a shortage of Diesel
