Same here today, though last week Petrol was BBC Lincs, but Diesel slightly
cheaper at Hertbeat-Letchworth.

It's code,innit.

"The swallows fly at midnight" sorta thing, but for fuel prices.

Trouble is BBC Lincs seem to broadcast on two frequencies, so there's
some confusion. Heaven help us if the prices ever reach the medium
wave.

Ah, yes, probably better to say BBC London then.

My wife went shopping at Sainsburys today, and was given a -5 MHz offset
voucher that takes petrol down to Radio 2 Wenvoe.

Well no. If you fill up on the A1 at Grantham you do still pay Radio Lincs
(Grantham relay) prices. It just goes to show. Mrs T (God bless her!) came
from Grantham and she extolled the free market, where we all charge what we
can get away with.


My wife went shopping at Sainsburys today, and was given a -5 MHz offset
voucher that takes petrol down to Radio 2 Wenvoe.


Is that how she put it?

Funny you should mention that, coz I was passing the Shell garage in
Trumpington High Street and noticed 107.9 for diseasel, but wasn't
quite sure at the time whether that was Star FM's frequency or not.
So I auto tuned the radio and lo & behold, there was Star FM on 107.9
