Default Hirschmann dish on Coronation St

During the opening credits there's a Hirschmann 65cm dish briefly visible.

Is it pointing to 28,5 degrees East, or one of them `foreign' satellites?

Pity it's not a mini-dish, then, we would know where it was pointing.
Any C/D horizontals in the same shot? We can assume they are on WH
Can you see where I am going with this?
Having two absolute bearings, and an OS map, we would know for
sure where Weatherfield actually was. What a coups it would be if it
wasn't at the back of the Quay Street studios.

Ahh well those aerials were put up just to look good. Some local rigger used
a load of old gear to make them look authentic. They don't point at WH.

It isn't very authentic having a Hirschmann dish though. These cost about
£25 more than the cheap dishes customarily used for 13E by the various types
of immigrant.

Given Granada's history over the last twenty years, I'm surprised it isn't a
squarial ?

Yes, it would have added authenticity to have had a few dilapidated BSB
dishes/flat panels on the walls of the terraced houses. See

Much the same as their bricklayer then. The bond is wrong for houses of
that age.

Did Ionica (bankrupt wireless phone provider) ever make it to Granadaland?
We have a few octagonal antennas from that service still around here in
Ipswich.

Lots round here. Very well made. Stainless steel and anodised aluminium.

Do you consider it unpatriotic to watch programming transmitted
from Hot Bird 6/7A/8 at 13.0°E?

Is not much of the population of Northern England descended
from immigrants from Danmark, so would not these people
be pointing their dishes at Thor 3/5 & Intelsat 10-02 at 0.8°W?
