During the opening credits there's a Hirschmann 65cm dish briefly visible.

Any C/D horizontals in the same shot? We can assume they are on WH Can you see where I am going with this? Having two absolute bearings, and an OS map, we would know for sure where Weatherfield actually was. What a coups it would be if it wasn't at the back of the Quay Street studios. -- Graham. %Profound_observation% |

Ahh well those aerials were put up just to look good. Some local rigger used a load of old gear to make them look authentic. They don't point at WH. It isn't very authentic having a Hirschmann dish though. These cost about £25 more than the cheap dishes customarily used for 13E by the various types of immigrant. Bill |

Yes, it would have added authenticity to have had a few dilapidated BSB dishes/flat panels on the walls of the terraced houses. See http://www.wrightsaerials.tv/aerialp...odern/049.html Bill |

Do you consider it unpatriotic to watch programming transmitted from Hot Bird 6/7A/8 at 13.0°E? Is not much of the population of Northern England descended from immigrants from Danmark, so would not these people be pointing their dishes at Thor 3/5 & Intelsat 10-02 at 0.8°W? |
