Default IDTV and Freesat.

Hello,

I've just bought a Samsung LE19A656 TV, which has IDTV. Apparently
this will allow it to receive Freesat without an STB. So presumably I
just need a dish, LNB, and some cable. One question, will the TV power
the LNB, or will I need to purchase some kind of power injection unit?

Thanks!

Paul.

No, you're wrong, it doesn't recieve Freesat only Freeview. AFAIK only
Panasonic are currently making sets with Freesat tuners and the smallest is
32".

According to the spec this is not the case. It is a Freeview (Terrestrial)
set not a Freesat set.

Actually, Adrian, you are not quite right! It does not receive
Freesat.

Advice seems good, however.

Sorry, I now understand that IDTV just means that either contains DVB-
T or DVB-S, and in this case its just T. Anyway, I've just gone made
and got the Humax DVB-S box, as well as a dish and LNB off eBay, so I
should be going on satellite by the weekend - assuming the weather co-
operates!!

Again, sorry for wasting everyone's time.

No problem. I hope you mean you have bought the Humax Foxsat box.

I said "it doesn't recieve Freesat" you said "It does not receive Freesat."
Apart from the apostrophe, what is different in the two staements?

What's your question? If it is the availability of a 32" Panasonic with
Freesat then see here.
