If you can't then I suspect you were probably undertaking work not required. You were clever enough on your site not to show company names or contact details! Was it a fear of being exposed or sued, maybe investigated by Trading Standards? Ian, have you really no idea how weird this stuff makes you look? |

"Ian" wrote in message ... And I had a customer years ago whose house was so badly affected by mining subsidence that the roof leaked. She told me that she had applied for condensation. Bill Another work of fiction? A friend told me you should write a book with all these tall stories you come out with. I read the one about condensation so you are merely repeating the content and trying to pass it off as your own. I've told that story many times on the newsgroups. That's probably why it seems familiar to you. You still haven't named any of the companies you claim did rubbish work that you later had to correct and make a charge for. I'm still waiting for ALL the companies to be named. If you can't then I suspect you were probably undertaking work not required. You were clever enough on your site not to show company names or contact details! Was it a fear of being exposed or sued, maybe investigated by Trading Standards? You are so bitter about this it almost makes me wonder if you've been on the receiving end of one of the many reports I've been commissioned to write about shambolic TV distribution systems. Anyway, below is a paragraph from a letter I wrote to a contractor a few weeks ago. He had found himself receiving a succession of invoices from us for putting right the work of an installation company that he continued to employ because they were cheap, long after it became obvious that they were charlatans of the first order. He wanted us to charge less because 'it was costing too much'. quote I can only reiterate that although you have my sympathy in this matter I feel that if you have any grievance it should be against the original installers, who did such a lousy job. Perhaps you should take it up with them, and ask for some reimbursement. No doubt you will apply stricter quality controls to TV system installers in future, so at least a lesson has been learnt. end quote Note my rather smug tone. Bill |
