Does anyone know what the difference is between these models? Or know
of a comparison web site that would tell me? Samsung's own site has the 656 but not the 686.... Am seriously considering the LE40A656 so if anyone has anything good or bad to say about it, that would be helpful too. TIA Chris |

Samsung's own site has the 656 but not the 686....
The Samsung site does have inf. on the 686 but not in English. See eg http://www.samsung.com/be/consumer/d...LE40A686M1FXXC So perhaps the 656 is the UK spec'd and any 686s are grey imports? -- Robin |

I have the Samsung LE40M87BDX. There is also a LEM86BDX which is technically identical to the M87 apart from the absence of a chrome strip on the bottom of the tv. The M86 was ONLY available through Dixons / Comet. |

Have a look he
http://www.zettavolt.co.uk/pebble/20...919000000.html This site lists all the samsung models and their differences. Also has some good pics. The main difference with the 686 seems to be a black bezel rather than the crystal rose design. If you want to see one in the flesh, Comet are now stocking them. Hope this helps. Kev url:http://myreader.co.uk/msg/124333668.aspx Thanks all. Richer Sounds have both the 656 and 686 but the guy I spoke to seemed pretty clueless on the differences (except the 686 is 50 quid or so more). Kev what you say fits with the little I know, i.e. its just cosmetic. Just to confuse the issue even more, I note Lewises have similar models with an "M1" suffix which I'm guessing is either something to do eitgher with PC compatibiity or a stand. Jeez... Chris |
