Default Humax PVR9200 recording in standby

I recently upgraded the software on my PVR by downloading it from the
Humax Web site. All went well until I realised that it was only
recording when the device is powered on, rather than in standby. I
also noticed that it no longer displays the time in standby.

I contacted Humax ny e-mail and they have told me that This issue is
caused by a fault on the front PCB board on the unit and the only way
to resolve this is to replace the board. They have offered to do this
as a warranty repaair. I bought the box second hand, so I suspect this
is going to cause problems with a warranty claim.

Is their diagnosis correct and am I likely to get a warranty repair?

Sorry, I can't help about that specific thing, but mine certainly does
record in standby, and it's running the latest software. Sounds like it
really is a hardware fault.

It also sounds like it might be a "known" fault, so I imagine it'll be well
worth pursuing their offer of a warranty repair.

Unless the unit is otherwise damaged where it fell off the back of a
lorry...
