Cheers Steve Has the handset got damp and it's sending random commands? take it out of the room to make sure. If its not that, then I hope the set is still under warranty because it doesn't look like it's going to be a DIY repair. -- Graham. %Profound_observation% |

An exorcist?
By itself sounds ominous. If it does it with no batteries in its remote I'd get onto the vendor with a firm but polite attitude. And they don't have an electric air freshener, or an electronically
ballasted light near or on the same outlet? Because such lamps emit 'modulated' infra-red light, that the TV *might* interpret as a genuine command. -- Mark Please replace invalid and invalid with gmx and net to reply. |

With earlier simpler schemes it might have been a different matter. Earlier still, ultrasonic remote control was in vogue, I had a Philips that I could turn on by jangling my keys. -- Graham. %Profound_observation% |
