This is a low powered community station at Lincoln. Would anyone within 30
miles or so be so kind as to tune-in and tell me if they can receive it,
how well they can receive it, and their approx location?

You can listen to them on the internet (only with IE) I thought I
/might/ be able to make them out from the mush if I knew what they were
playing, but not a sausage, over 60miles away, they are VP and my aerial
is HP and pointed about 135^0 away from them toward SC.

Oh, I tried in FF3 first, empty page apart from wallpaper, turned off
adblock and refreshed, still empty, clicked on IETab and it popped up
MediaPlayer, so I assumed it was poorly written for IE only.

I just tried Firefox 3. Its been freshly installed recently and had no
problem with the stream.

Causes Netscape 7.2 to crash, but works OK using Internet Explorer.

I've copied the URL to my Squeezebox system, and saved it as a
favourite, so that I can try it for a while. First impression they seem
to be playing some of the music I like. Sound quality however seems to
be lacking at the top end.

OT, but is FF3 worth the upgrade..? Still using 2.0.0.16 and keep getting
bugged to upgrade it.

And it's only mono! Very bad sound quality. And hard compressed.

I hadn't noticed that it was mono. I did notice however that the level
of artefacts can vary a great deal. Usually there are no noticeable
artefacts, but then one track they played earlier this afternoon seemed
to have loads of artefacts all over the treble. I would have thought WMA
at 128k would sound better than that. Perhaps it is a poor (or badly
configured) encoder, or perhaps it says 128k but is actually much less.

128 kbit/s MP3 http://sc4.radioseven.se:80
