This is a low powered community station at Lincoln. Would anyone within 30
miles or so be so kind as to tune-in and tell me if they can receive it, how well they can receive it, and their approx location? Bill |

A loud wailing noise that disturbs most when you want peace and quiet. Or a woman, of course. Any similarity between the two is in the imagination of the reader. -- *I finally got my head together, now my body is falling apart. Dave Plowman London SW To e-mail, change noise into sound. |

Disclaimer: Of course any similarity between the two is entirely coincidental. Richard E. |

Bill Nothing in south Manchester even with an aerial at 12m - gets captured by something called "Kerching", probably Wish FM in Wigan, however even it didn't I would expect capture by Peak FM which is nearer in the same direction and has its transmitters on a hill instead of on the flat. -- |

According to Ofcom's list at:- http://www.ofcom.org.uk/radio/ifi/rb...ch_parameters/ Sited at NGR SK970711, 25 watts VP only, 21 metres AGL (25m AOD) As my Excel calculation worksheet[1] shows it 190km (345° EGN), at 25W, I don't think I'll be bothering! My wife is a Yellerbelly, so she might have been interested! Terry [1] Nothing fantastic, but calculates bearing and distance from a receiving site to a number of transmitter sites, based on NGR locations. I know there are other resources available but they tend to concentrate on the local area. May be of use to others who as it can be customised for different scenarios (on separate sheets) to highlight possible co-channel problems. If anybody is interested, I could make it generally available. |
