Default BBC HD 5.1 audio

Is it me, or are the BBC flagging some programmes as 5.1 Dolby Digital, but
only transmitting 2 channel stereo soundtracks? The Big Weekend concert last
week, Hotel Babylon and Gavin and Stacey tonight all only have 2-channel
sound. Heroes had 5.1 sound the other night.

Using a DVB-S satellite card, DVB Viewer and AC-3 Filter.

It's probably due to the unique way the BBC is funded.

Yes, I was disappointed that the FA Cup Final was only in bog standard stereo
yesterday.

Well, if you'd wanted the sound of raucous noise behind you, you
could've put a 'want ad' on Myspace for "Psycho Rangers ****** and
alleged fan wanted to bawl and shout behind me for 90 minutes".

Show him a computer and he'd probably just end up whinging about the BBC and
coming up with crackpot ideas to make junk food even more disgusting than it
is.
