News - Broadband TV 2.0 23rd of May, Jurys Inn Hotel, Brighton

During Broadband TV 2.0, Dr. Emmanuel Tsekleves from Brunel University
will present BITe - a novel touch-screen remote control prototype.

The BITe prototype is the result of the Barriers to Interactive
Television project(BITe). BITe is a WestFocus project, a collaboration
between Brunel and Westminster Universities aimed at Research and
Knowledge Transfer in the Digital Media domain. It involves research
studies looking at the users' exploitation of interactive audio visual
technology, their perceptions of it and their desires for the further
development of interactive TV and digital media.

Participants will be able to experience the prototype and openly
discuss it.

And that was the liberal left wing wishy washy open toed sandals socialo
ethnographic media studies bit ...

Perhaps the Use 8 event could do with some mad gorrilla demonstrators
with sign boards screaming 'No more DOGs' and 'Hands off our bit rates'?

:-p
