Just bought a new Technika Tv from Tesco and when I go to any channel there
is subtitles showing. There is a way of stopping them but when channel is
changed they come back again so it is a case of getting rid of them every
time channel is changed.I have been on to tesco help but they just put me
through all I have already tried myself and my cordless phone gave up before
we got finished. My question is ,has anyone in group had this problem and if
so how did they overcome it?

Just a little point about tesco help ,,,I asked lady who was dealing with me
to find the answer and email or ring me back but she says that they are not
allowed to do that!

Yes I think I have been through everything,as I say, there is a menu where I
can get rid of them but they just come back again when the channel is
changed. The Tv has digital tuner and DVD player conbined and of course the
subtitles come on when in Tv/Dtv mode.
There is a menu for Tv/Dtv mode but nothing there for on/off of subtitles.

from my experience with seperate digiboxes, while there is a subtitles on /
off button on the remote there will also be something hidden in a setup menu
telling it to initially have them on or off.
i can't believe a tv would have mandatory subtitles - that would be really
crap.
