need Comcast remote code for envision 32inch LCD
anyone know what code works? I have a Comcast DVR 3-in-1 remote.
10030 turns TV on and off, but no volume control... any suggestions?

My SA lets me set it up so the remote changes the volume on the DVR not the TV. Just set the TV volume about 1/2 way up. On my Comcast remote you push MENU twice to get into the setup screen. Set the volume to VARIABLE, not FIXED. If you start getting distorted sound, the TV volume is set too low. Tam

The volume is usually set to use the cable box. You can google your specific remote. The ones I have are ITX 3000 series units that came with my Motorola boxes. The instructions are usually pretty clear as to how to reassign the volume control to another device (mine control the volume via the receiver).

I've got the exact same problem and I tried setting my SA 4250HDC cable box to "VARIABLE" (audio settings) with no success. Does anyone have another suggestion. I've combed the internet for correct codes with no luck. Help please! Works with the SA 8300HDC and component output. I can see how it might not work with HDMI/digital output. Some remotes have an audio punch through mode; you don't want that. That makes the remote send volume information to the TV rather than the set top box regardless of what mode it is in. You could try removing the batteries from the remote for a few minutes, and then do not enter any TV codes. Tam -- gserp4sox
