Or one could easily surmise that Christmas dollars jacked up the
buying of blu-ray in January. 3 month sales numbers are meaningless.

Sorry, but we're not in a recession. The growth is slowing, but the
US GDP grew by 0.8% in Q1 of 2008. A recession requires 6 months of
NEGATIVE growth, hence the term recession, as in RECEDE.

It's PER CAPITA GDP growth that has to be negative.

The GDP is a deceptive number, created ny the politicians to hide the
truth. For the real truth, find the GNP, if you can.
