Default Mux1 on Dover

Has disppeared for the second time in a week.

I'm having to watch the Beeb on analog.

Can anyone confirm whether this is a transmitter problem of if we have an
aerial problem.

TIA

Take a look at

http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/engineering_works

work on the transmitter would cause the symptoms that you describe, the BBC
mux is mux 1.

If your reception is generally good apart from these recent breaks, then it
would point to transmitter work. However, people with borderline reception
can experience problems in early May as trees come into leaf combined with
an extra years growth (the higher transmission power following digital
switch over should help alleviate this problem).

In your case, I suspect transmitter work.

The MUX in question, from Dover, is on channel 68 so I would also
suspect borderline reception.

Good point. Also, his close proximity to French transmissions coupled with
the current local low power transmissions must introduce a complex myriad of
variables.

None of which can be determined from my tree house in Lancashire.
