I'm not hoping for any. Don't care if any more ever come out on Blu-ray,
or even standard DVD. I don't watch DVD's. I just wait for them to come to
OTA HDTV.:-)

My list would cover about 5000 pages, but I'll start with every film noir
classic ever shown on Turner Classic Movies. Then I'd make a beeline for
most of the contents in the Hal Roach vaults....

PS Many Japanese monster films have been on the Voom Monster HD channel.
"Invasion of the Neptune Men" was absolutely great/terrible/unbearable. ;-)

Don't flame the messenger, but it's never gonna happen. Lucas had his
chance with DVDs and look at the crap he gave us. The trilogy remains
the reason I went high def in the first place.

Star Trek 1 - 4, 6
Gojiro - 1950's, 60's, 90's & 00's

Will happen. Will absolutely rock.

Star Wars V and Vi are old films? Jeez, that makes me feel old. :-/.

There are many fine movies from the 1940s, 50s, 60s, 70s I want to see
in HD. Too many to list. Most of the older movies I have only seen on
cropped 4:3 SD. I have often found that watching them in HD and in OAR
for the widescreen titles is almost like watching it for the first time.
But it will take years for Blu-Ray catalog releases to catch up.

Meanwhile, if you want older films, HDNet Movies shows many films from
the 1950s to the 80s in OAR and good quality HD. I have Verizon Fios so
I get HDNet Movies at full bandwidth. Unfortunately Comcast and Cox
among others don't carry the two HDNet channels. Today HDNet Movies has
The Bridge on the River Kwai and starting in May will be showing one of
the greatest dark satire films ever made, Dr. Strangelove, which I am
looking forward to.

They're only old because back catalog is released much more slowly
than new releases. That means I have to request Titanic on one disc,
Lawrence of Arabia, Raiders of the Lost Ark (which could come out in a
set with Crystal Skull), The Last Starfighter, Kirosawa's "Dreams",
Visions of Light, Night of the Hunter, High Noon, Tampopo, Rebel
Without A Cause....

I recently watched all three LORs on standard DVD disks played on a
Panasonic BluRay player to a 1080p plasma. I really doubt that a BD
version would be much better. I like LOR, but not enough to buy it again.

I would like the entire Star Wars 6 on BD, however.

Chicago would be great on BD.

TopGun

The Fifth Element (2 v. in BD, avoid the first one)

The Hunt for Red October

many, many others.
