I want to get a Tivo for my tv but it needs the capability to allow me
to edit the tv show. I want to set it up to record from 7:58pm to 10:02pm, this way incase the time is a little off I still get both the start and end of the tv show. I want to be able to remove the non-tv show part just before it starts and when it ends. Can Tivo do this and if so what version of the Tivo does it? After I edit the tivo I want to transfer to my dvd-r panasonic recorder connected to my tv. Thanks, Pete |

Peter shaped the electrons to say:

After I edit the tivo I Nope. No editing on the box for any model of TiVo. -MZ -- megazone-at-megazone.org http://www.MegaZone.org/ Gweep, Geek, Human, me. http://www.GizmoLovers.com/ http://www.Eyrie-Productions.com/ -- Hail Eris "A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men" 508-852-2171 |

to edit the tv show. I want to set it up to record from 7:58pm to 10:02pm, this way incase the time is a little off I still get both the start and end of the tv show. My Series 1 Tivo will allow the padding, but it does tend to interfere with trying to record two of the same show back-to-back (or for that matter, two different shows on back-to-back where you want both). I want to be able to remove the non-tv show part just before it starts and when it ends. Can Tivo do this and if so what version of the Tivo does it? After I edit the tivo I want to transfer to my dvd-r panasonic recorder connected to my tv. If I want to save something, I can transfer it to my E85H Panasonic recorder (PLAY on Tivo, RECORD on Panasonic, the two are connected by a S-Video cable), then edit it there. (The E85H has a hard disk and a DVD-R drive, and will let me divide the program into chapters and delete unwanted chapters). |

I want to set it up to record from 7:58pm to 10:02pm, this way incase the time is a little off I still get both the start and end of the tv show. You can do that. I use that feature sometimes. I want to be able to remove the non-tv show part just before it starts and when it ends. Can Tivo do this and if so what version of the Tivo does it? What's the point? Freakin' fast-foward it! There's probably commercials anyway! After I edit the tivo uh-uh. I want to transfer to my dvd-r panasonic recorder connected to my tv. That you can do. You know, I find that most shows start and end at the time they're supposed to. Don't do movies much, though. Thanks, Welcome. Pete Me |
