You can buy stuff like a season ticket to prem+ though, but again wait for an expert to verify what's what. -- Paul (We won't die of devotion) ------------------------------------------------------- Stop and Look http://www.geocities.com/dreamst8me/ |

I am considering the advantage of moving from VM to SKY and so far cannot see any. Ability to opt in and out of sports channels would have swung it. -- Jim S Tyneside UK www.jimscott.co.uk |

I opt out of the sports channels during the summer most years with one call, usually takes about 10 mins including the auto attendant and time spent waiting. The advantage with sky is that when you opt in/out it's done that day in a previous life I was a NTheLl customer and changing packages with them was much harder work. Mike |

Ability to opt in and out of sports channels would have swung it. You only need to subscribe to the Sports channel/s for a minimum of 1 month. Advantages of satellite over cable? All the extra channels, I have all the channels I need except perhaps national geographic the interactive streams Doesn't this involve paying via telephone bill? faster boxes I believe that VM do faster boxes now, although I haven't got one (no issues due to the cabinet being set on fire, Eh? fuses blowing Eh? PSU falling over Another eh? other cable infrastructure issues Such as? It is nice to hear other people's experiences, but the only problem I have had is with the slowness of the interactive and the temperamentallity of the red button. There doesn't seem to be much to change for here and there is the prospect of having a fresh set of cables running in the opposite direction to the ones already there. -- Jim S Tyneside UK www.jimscott.co.uk |

The stuff like little red buttons actually works, teletext etc. I can't say I am sad to see the back of my old cable box. -- Paul (We won't die of devotion) ------------------------------------------------------- Stop and Look http://www.geocities.com/dreamst8me/ |

After that you can do what you want as long as you give 30days notice. Unless it`s changed since I was last with them. mick |
