Any one know of a free view set top box with a RF modulater.
This is for an old type tv without a scart socket.
Have been using a Nokia On digital box . Now looking to get EPG and Text.

Humax products. Alternatively you can buy modulators from places such as
Maplins to add to cheaper boxes.

Does it have any type of AV input?

I used to have a mid-80s GEC set which didn't have SCART sockets, but did have
two 7 pin DIN sockets. When I got my first analogue Sat box, I made my own
SCART to 7 pin DIN AV leads. Fortuanatly the pinout was documented in the TV
handbook.

Done the same for an elderly neighbours' elderly Hitachi. Interestingly a
side affect was that instead of the squashed analogue picture (don't know
which bit of the set is going!), they got a full screen picture off the
digibox.

I bought myself a Humax F2-FOX T a couple of weeks ago (to replace a
dead Grundig GTD2000). This is one of the few STBs which you can get
these days which do have a modulator. I must say that I don't like the
on-screen programme guide very much.

The price was ~£60. You can probably do it cheaper with a non-modulator
unit of your choice (say £20?) plus an external modulator for ~£30.
