News on Comcast TiVo??

I am waiting patiently to jump from DirecTV to Comcast, but I am NOT loosing my TiVo.

I know that I could work with a standalone TiVo, But I have been spoiled by my DirecTV integrated model.

Isn't it only available in some limited markets (Boston)?

That and I'd have to wonder about whether they're waiting to get the SDV
issues sorted out first. I'd be inclined to wait until they got the
USB-based SDV dongle working and then get a TivoHD-based unit for it. The
ideal solution would be a package that bundled it all from Comcast. No idea
if that's likely, or when.

What benefits do you really get from it being integrated? I just got
started with HD TiVo standalone, on top of Comcast out here in CA.
It's working well. I had a few days of CableCard headaches, lots of
spontaneous reboots, and freezes, and then it finally settled down. I
have suspect that there was too much stress on the cable connection,
because once I fixed that it's been very stable.

Take the plunge with standalone!

You can setup PPV recordings from within the Tivo interface. This
can be pretty handy as it integrates nicely with the rest of your
recording schedule.
