he former UK prime minister, 82, was driven from her home to St Thomas's
Hospital in central London, where she is said to be undergoing checks.

BBC political correspondent James Hardy said the tests were understood
to be precautionary ones.

It didn't work when she was in power.

and coming up later on Sky One tonight - "When Chainsaw Jugglers go
bad" - a cutting edge documentary....

You will only have a few years left to do that. With this government,
hours in the house of commons will outrageously be spent on a bill
outlawing the hobby of chainsaw juggling to save the NHS the costs of
putting people back together, and uphold the now-nanny state....

Thather was no nanny - she spoiled us rotten, would freely let two year
olds juggle chainsaws at a time when most of us said we wanted spoiling.
Now we want comfort and reasurance and now have Gordon Brown..... ;-(

Yes I'd choose Thatcher's Britain over the police state (it really is)
in which we now live *any* day.
Having said that, I think politics as we the people know it is merely
a pantomime show which is put on by a faceless ruling elite to pacify
the public while they demolish New York skyscrapers, start illegal oil
wars and pass more and more oppressive laws.
