My Tivo has been getting "stuck" in playback -- I can scan ahead, but
it simply refuses to keep playing the program. This is an HD Tivo (non-THX, standard), 2-tuners with cards from Comcast, and the Tivo "Extender" disk drive. I was going to sell my old Tivo Series 2, thinking this one would be as rock-solid as that one, but now I'm not so sure. I've been used to the regular Comcast HD DVR hanging about every ten minutes, but I never expected this new Tivo to give me any problems. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it more frequent with the newer modesl or with HD? Could it be due to the two tuners recording during playback or sharing the cable input with the second Tivo and Comcast HD DVR? Or a network sharing problem (the two Tivos are linked over the network). Or is this thing just broken and must be sent back for repair? (It seems to work great the other 98% of the time, but boy, are those 2% frustrating...) TIA!! Mark |

You've tried rebooting it? That fixes most issues with mine, until the drive
needs replacing. |

Not to alarm you, but that "getting stuck in playback" *may* have just been a prelude to a meltdown. |
