There really aren't a lot of different ones available right now. Walmart carries the Magnavox and RCA. But that won't give true HD for old analog TVs (e.g., 10+ years old TVs), right? BVut then I don't think any of the government coupons support these HD converter boxes. But you're right, the ones Max is probably asking about aren't HD. What they will convert is HDTV signals to analog component (and in some cases HDMI) for HDTVs that don't have tuners (or at least don't have HD tuners) built-in. And yes, the coupons won't cover converters with HD outputs. |
