Hooked it up to an old vcr last night. Picture was good but no sound. Cables may have come lose. Haven't had time to check it yet. I guess I wasn't too clear but what I was trying to say was that the application period (to apply for the card) is open until March of '09. Mike O. |

You can buy a new Hisense HDTV receiver for $59.99 on ebay. My Hisense tuner from Denton Texas has the Audio coming in a little late from the mouth movement. Any ideas on the cure. I don't own a Hisense, but that's a pretty common problem. Is this on DFW stations? All of them, or just a couple? Check audio sync settings if there are any. It may also be a station problem if it's isolated to 1 or 2. -- Want the ultimate in free OTA SD/HDTV Recorder? http://mythtv.org My Tivo Experience http://wesnewell.no-ip.com/tivo.htm Tivo HD/S3 compared http://wesnewell.no-ip.com/mythtivo.htm AMD cpu help http://wesnewell.no-ip.com/cpu.php |

That link says it has +4.35 dB gain, which is on a par with what a simple loop antenna can do. So it's a $2 loop in a fancy box for $50. The much less expensive (but still usually overpriced) Zenith Silver Sensor has about 7 dB gain. See the gain comparisons he http://www.hdtvprimer.com/ANTENNAS/comparing.html Del Mibbler This being old I shouldn't respond but I'm old also, any decent UHF antenna (Bowtie ETC) works for the UHF SD and HDtv signals (All) even the ones from the 60's (Except those weathered beyond use of course).
